The R10RF is a wireless photoelectric smoke alarm from Red Smoke Alarms. It features a sealed 10-year lithium battery and is designed to wirelessly interconnect with other compatible Red smoke alarms, creating a full-home safety network.
The R10RF uses radio frequency (RF) technology to wirelessly link to other compatible Red alarms. When one alarm detects smoke, all interconnected units sound together, ensuring maximum coverage and warning across the property.
Up to 40 Red smoke alarms can be wirelessly interconnected in one network. This makes the R10RF suitable for everything from single dwellings to large multi-storey homes.
Yes. The R10RF is AS 3786:2014 certified, RCM compliant, and meets the latest Australian smoke alarm laws, including the Queensland 2022 legislation requiring interconnected photoelectric alarms.
The alarm features a large front button with multiple functions:
Test: Checks the unit’s functionality.
Hush: Temporarily silences nuisance alarms (e.g., cooking smoke).
Locate: Identifies which alarm triggered in an interconnected system.
Alternatively, use the remote optional RAC RF Wireless smoke alarm controller. This unit can be mounted on the wall, making silencing and testing all wireless interconnected smoke alarms very easy. This way, you do not have to get on a ladder or reach up and press the button on the smoke alarm, making it a much safer option.
Turn all R10RF Red smoke alarms on. Next, press and hold the pairing button until the red light turns solid. Then, double-tap the subsequent alarms you want to pair with the master. Follow the instructions in the R10RF Manual for more detailed instructions.
