The 2025-WE is RCM listed for residential and commercial installation across Australia and New Zealand.
The 2025-WE is the unit most often specified for standard residential and commercial GPO replacement, where the existing fit-off is already Clipsal 2000 and a matching plate is required. The horizontal face plate measures 116 x 76 mm and sits across one standard mounting block, or fits into plasterboard with plaster C-clips where no block is present. Active, neutral, and earth terminals each accept up to three 2.5 mm² conductors, suiting looped TPS runs common in domestic and light-commercial circuits.

The 2025-WE complies with AS/NZS 3100 (general requirements for electrical equipment), AS/NZS 3112 (plug and socket outlets), and AS/NZS 3133 (approval and test specification for socket outlets). It carries the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) and is approved for residential and commercial installation in Australia and New Zealand under AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules.
The 2025-WE is a mains-voltage 240V GPO and must be installed by a licensed electrician in Australia. AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules require fixed-wiring work and socket-outlet installation to be carried out by a qualified person. Clipsal warranty cover is voided if the unit is installed by anyone else.
The 2025-WE uses the standard 116 x 76 mm Clipsal 2000 Series face plate with 84 mm fixing centres, so it drops straight into any existing 2000 Series mounting block or plaster bracket. Where no mounting block is fitted, it can also install into plasterboard with a standard plaster C-clip.
The active, neutral, and earth terminals each accept up to three 2.5 mm² conductors. This suits standard looped TPS wiring on residential and light-commercial 10A circuits. The 2025-WE works with the full Clipsal 2000 Series mounting range: shallow and deep mounting blocks (16 mm and 32 mm), plaster brackets, plaster C-clips for direct fixing into plasterboard, and surface-mount adaptor blocks for masonry walls. The 84 mm fixing centres match every 2000 Series mounting accessory.
Avoid outdoor and wet-area installations, including bathroom zones above the floor zone, pool decks, alfresco areas, and any location exposed to rain or splash. The 2025-WE has no IP rating. For weatherproof scenarios, a sealed and IP-rated socket outlet is required to meet AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules in those locations.
