        Description:

        The MT472 is IP64 and is a basic voltage tester designed to meet electrician’s requirements for the measurement of AC and DC voltage and continuity. The tester displays the voltage on red LED’s which increment as the voltage increases. There is an LED indication for polarity when DCV is measured. No switching of the meter on as the tester automatically turns on when voltage is applied to the two test probes. The MT472 incorporates a Low Impedance Test, which induces a basic load of approximately 6kΩ at 690 volts, and continuity measurements up to 200kΩ. The MT472 meets the CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V safety standards.

        How to Lodge a Warranty Claim

        To initiate a warranty claim:

        1. Return to Sparky Direct
          Ship the meter back to Sparky Direct along with:

          • A copy of your proof of purchase
          • A brief description of the issue
          • Your contact details

          Please ensure the unit is securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.

        2. Forwarded for Assessment
          Upon receiving your meter, we will forward it to Major Tech’s authorised service centre for inspection, testing, and calibration.

        Assessment Process

        Major Tech’s service lab will assess the returned unit to determine:

        • Whether the fault is due to a manufacturer’s defect (covered under warranty), or
        • If the issue is the result of user error or no fault is found.

        Outcomes

        • If approved under warranty: The product will be repaired or replaced at no cost to you.
        • If not covered under warranty: The lab may offer repair services, which will be quoted and billed directly to you by the service provider.

        Important Notes

        As Major Tech’s service labs are independent providers, Sparky Direct cannot govern or guarantee turnaround times or any costs incurred for repairs outside of warranty coverage.
