Installation of the RC9WDLCCT4 must be carried out by a licensed electrician. The fitting requires a 92mm round ceiling cut-out and connects to a surface socket via a 600mm flex and an Australian plug. Retention springs hold it against the plasterboard once it is pushed through the cut-out.
A switch on the fitting selects 3000K, 4000K, 5000K or 6500K. Set the colour temperature with the power switched off, as the datasheet warns against changing it while the downlight is live. The chosen setting applies to that fitting only.
The RC9WDLCCT4 has an integrated dimmable driver that works with selected TRIAC dimmers and C-Bus dimming systems. Robus publishes a compatible dimmer list on its website. Confirm the dimmer model against that list before pairing, as not every TRIAC dimmer is supported.
The fitting is rated IP44 and Class II double insulated, and complies with AS/NZS 60598.1 and AS/NZS 60598.2.2. It carries an F-mark and an IC-4 rating, which means it can sit against mineral glass fibre insulation without the surface exceeding 90 degrees C.
