The NLS 30001 is a square steel plaster bracket that fixes power point and switch mechanisms to rendered plaster and timber stud walls. The 30001 measures 152 x 152 mm across the outer face, with a 76 x 57 mm internal opening and mounting holes on 84 mm centres. It is pressed from 1.0 mm galvanised steel and is sold individually.
Rendered and set plaster walls leave nothing solid behind the sheet for a mechanism to screw into. The 152 x 152 mm outer face of the 30001 sits over the cut-out and carries the mounting holes clear of the cut edge. The 76 x 57 mm internal opening clears the body of a standard mechanism, so the plate can pull up flat against the finished wall.
The 30001 goes on either way round, so horizontal or vertical positions take the same bracket. Adjustable screw slides let the mechanism be brought level after the bracket is fixed, which matters where the render is not quite true. At 1.0 mm gauge the steel holds that setting while the plate screws pull up.
The 30001 carries no IP rating, so it is not specified for external walls or damp exposed positions. Mechanisms drilled to a pitch other than 84 mm centres will not land on the fixing holes. Anything wider than the 76 x 57 mm opening will not clear the aperture.

The 30001 can be fixed horizontally or vertically, so one part number covers both orientations. The screw positions are slotted, which allows the mechanism to be brought level after the bracket is fixed.
The NLS 30001 is pressed from 1.0 mm galvanised steel. The gauge is consistent across the face and the fixing points, and the bracket is supplied individually, boxed in increments of 25.
The 30001 carries no IP rating, so it is specified for internal wall positions only. It is not rated for external walls, damp exposed areas, or any position where water ingress is expected.
