The NLS 30773 is a 12 pole surface mount weatherproof switchboard rated IP66, moulded in white polycarbonate for external installation. The 30773 arrives complete with an earth bar, split neutral bars, pole fillers and a full DIN rail, so the enclosure is ready to populate. It is built to IEC 60439-1 and IEC 60529, and measures 273mm long by 230mm high by 110mm deep.
An outdoor sub-board takes weather that an indoor enclosure never sees, and a poor seal puts the whole set of circuit protection at risk. The 30773 carries an IP66 rating against dust and against water jets from any direction, with a smoke finish transparent door that lets a sparky read breaker positions without opening the board. The earth bar and split neutral bars are supplied fitted, which removes the usual scramble for links partway through a fit off.
Contractors specify the 30773 on solar tie-ins, shed feeds and granny flat sub-boards because the full DIN rail and pole fillers come in the box. The enclosure accepts most leading brands of circuit protection devices, so a board gets populated from stock already on the van. Top and bottom knockouts let cable enter from either direction, which keeps conduit runs tidy on a wall that is already crowded.

The 30773 is not rated beyond twelve poles, and the single DIN rail cannot be extended to carry a second row of breakers. As a surface mount enclosure, the 30773 is not suitable for flush or recessed installation inside a wall cavity. IP66 covers dust ingress and water jets, so the enclosure is not rated for immersion or for installation below flood level.
