The NLS 30325 is a weatherproof enclosure with a hinged clear lid, rated IP23, fitted over a surface mounted power point or light switch. The 30325 back box measures 115mm long, 70mm wide and 80mm deep, and the closed lid takes the assembly out to 140mm wide by 100mm deep. A 6mm padlock hole in the lid allows the cover to be locked shut.
Power points and switches on patio walls, carports and verandahs sit in the path of wind driven rain and hose spray. A standard mechanism carries no cover of its own once the weather turns, and the fitting gets swapped out well before the end of its service life. The 30325 puts a hinged clear lid over the existing point so the switch position stays visible and the mechanism stays under cover. Threaded cable entries top and bottom and two 20mm conduit knockouts at the rear let the box land over most existing runs.
The 30325 accommodates most brands and styles of GPO and switch, so a single part number covers a spread of retrofit installations instead of matching a separate weatherproof enclosure to every fitting. It includes a 20 to 25mm screw reducer, which eliminates a return trip when the conduit run turns out to be the smaller diameter. The 6mm padlock facility prevents accidental or deliberate switching, which matters on refrigeration, irrigation and pump circuits. At 115mm long and 270 grams, the enclosure is compact inventory to carry in the van.

The NLS 30325 suits most brands and styles of surface mounted power point and light switch. The back box measures 115mm long, 70mm wide and 80mm deep internally, so check the footprint of the fitting against those dimensions before ordering.
Any wiring work associated with the NLS 30325 must be carried out by a licensed electrician. The enclosure is surface mounted over the existing point, with threaded M20 and M25 cable entries top and bottom and two 20mm conduit knockouts at the rear of the housing.
IP23 means the enclosure resists solid objects larger than 12.5mm and water spray falling up to 60 degrees from vertical. That covers wind blown rain reaching a sheltered wall. It does not cover direct hosing, driving rain on a fully exposed wall, or submersion.
The hinged perspex lid has a 6mm padlock hole and takes a small padlock to hold it closed. Locking the cover stops a point or switch being turned off by accident or on purpose, which is useful on refrigeration, pump and irrigation circuits.
The enclosure is supplied with the back box, the hinged clear lid and one 20 to 25mm screw reducer for the larger threaded entry. Two 20mm conduit knockouts at the rear are moulded into the housing. Packaged weight is 0.270kg.
The 30325 is rated IP23 and is intended for sheltered outdoor positions such as under an eave, patio roof, carport or verandah. It is not rated for direct hosing, submersion, or a fully exposed wall taking driving rain and continuous sun and weather.
