The Clipsal 155VNAR is a vertical accessory mounting bracket for timber stud construction, precision stamped from 1.2mm electro-galvanised steel strip. The 155VNAR has a 76 x 52mm aperture on 84mm fixing centres, with recessed mounting centres and skew fixing nails supplied. It is specified for Slimline and Eclipse installations where the plate is oriented on the vertical axis.
Setting a vertical plate on a timber stud without a bracket means working with packers and shims, then finding the alignment has moved once the plasterboard is installed. The 155VNAR fixes the mounting centres at rough-in, driving straight into the stud through its skew fixing nails. The recessed mounting centres hold the fixing points behind the sheeting line, so the finished plate sits flush against the wall rather than proud of it. That removes the corrective packing normally needed at every vertical position along a run.
Rough-in productivity depends on how quickly each point is set and checked square. The 155VNAR fixes off in seconds and holds its alignment while carpenters and plasterers work around the frame.
