The Clipsal SD-2033VA-HFL-WE is a 2000 Series three gang switch rated 10 A at 250 V AC, with each gang engraved HEAT, FAN or LIGHT. The SD-2033VA-HFL-WE is built from a Clipsal 2033VH-WE grid and surround fitted with three engraved Clipsal 30M-WE mechanisms. Each mech wires as a one-way or two-way switch and carries a loop terminal. It ships assembled, so no separate grid plate, cover plate or mechanisms are needed.
A three-in-one unit needs three separate switched circuits, and three plain white rockers on one plate give no sign of which is which. The SD-2033VA-HFL-WE arrives with each gang already engraved, so the heat, fan and light circuits read apart on the plate. The markings are cut into the polycarbonate dollies rather than printed on top of them. Engraving is the only change made to the three standard Clipsal 30M-WE mechanisms.
The 2033VH-WE grid takes any Clipsal 30 Series mechanism, so a single gang can be changed later without replacing the plate or the surround. The plate fits 16 mm and 20 mm wall boxes and mounts vertically or horizontally. The cover is removable, so the mechanisms can be reached without pulling the grid off the wall.
Each gang is an on and off switch, so the SD-2033VA-HFL-WE does not dim the light or vary the fan speed. The mechanisms are single pole and switch one conductor each. Each gang is an on and off switch with no dimming or speed electronics inside. The light runs at full output and the fan runs at full speed whenever that gang is on. Dimming or speed control needs a separate mechanism built for the job.
The text is cut into the polycarbonate dollies rather than printed onto them, so the markings are permanent. Custom engraving sits slightly darker than factory-marked 30 Series mechs and the lettering size can differ, so mixing the two on one plate is not recommended.
Each of the three mechanisms wires independently as one-way or two-way, so any combination suits the circuits on the job. Loop terminals are built in for landing looped actives. Wiring is a licensed electrician's job.
It fits a standard 16 mm or 20 mm deep Australian wall box with no modification, and mounts vertically or horizontally. The grid and surround is the standard Clipsal 2000 footprint, so an existing 2000 Series box position takes it on a changeover.
