The Connected Switch Gear SD-CUSTOM-SS-LS102V is a 2 gang light switch with custom text engraved into a 316 brushed stainless steel plate. Sparky Direct engraves the SS-LS102V in-house, one line of up to 12 characters above each switch. The mechanisms are rated 10AX, with silver nickel switch contacts and solid brass terminal screws. The switch complies with AS/NZS 3100:2009 and AS/NZS 3133:2008+A1:2009.
On a blank two gang plate, nothing on the face marks which gang runs which circuit. Labels peel and marker pen wears off the plate face, so the information does not stay put. The SD-CUSTOM-SS-LS102V carries it as engraved text above each switch, cut into the 316 brushed stainless plate before it ships. It reads as part of the plate rather than something added later.
The plate takes Clipsal 30 series and NLS mechanisms, so the engraved face does not change which mech sits behind it. Identification is on the plate when it arrives, engraved rather than applied. The mark is permanent and will not rub off, which is what separates it from a label.
Engraving is permanent and cannot be altered once cut, so check the spelling and wording before ordering. Installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician. The switch mounts on 84mm screw centres and needs a 96mm by 67mm cut-out. The 10 Year In House Warranty is void if the switch is not installed by a licensed electrician.
Each line takes up to 12 characters, and there is one line above each of the two switches. That gives two separate lines of wording per plate. Engraved text size and positioning may vary depending on the wording supplied.
The Platinum Series plate is compatible with Clipsal 30 series and NLS switch mechanisms, telephone outlets, data outlets and dimmers. The plate and the engraving do not restrict which of those mechanisms sits behind the face.
No change of mind refunds or returns are accepted on customised products, because the engraving is cut to order and cannot be reused. Connected Switch Gear covers the Platinum Series with a 10 Year In House Warranty, which runs from the invoice date. The Platinum Series wall switches comply with AS/NZS 3100:2009 and AS/NZS 3133:2008 plus Amendment 1:2009, and carry ESV approval. The mechanisms are rated 10AX at 50/60Hz. Engraving the plate face does not alter the mechanism or its approval.
Connected Switch Gear lists plaster brackets BP1 and BP2 for the Platinum Series, with the BPC removable plastic cover protecting the bracket during render. These are ordered separately. The plate itself is supplied complete with its mechanisms.
