The EGLO 206107N is a 90mm recessed LED downlight with a built-in motion sensor, rated 8W at 220-240V and 1100 lumens. The 206107N carries an IP44 protection degree from the front of the fitting, Class II double-insulated construction and an IC-4 thermal rating. Colour temperature is switched on the back of the fitting across 3000K, 4000K and 5000K. The LED board is integrated and the CRI is above 80.
Hallways, stairwells and garages are where a light gets left burning, or gets walked past in the dark. The 206107N runs an integrated motion sensor, so it switches at the point of light rather than at a wall plate. A daylight sensor limits detection to low ambient light conditions, so the fitting does not switch on in a well-lit room or during daylight hours. Detection resumes once ambient light drops.
A colour temperature switch on the back of the fitting selects 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white or 5000K cool white. Set it before the downlight goes into the ceiling, because the switch is not reachable once the fitting is installed.
The fitting holds an IC-4 thermal rating, so it can be abutted and covered with thermal insulation in normal use. Minimum clearance from the luminaire to any normally flammable building element is 0mm, and minimum clearance from the top of the luminaire to building insulation is 0mm.
Any electrical wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician and must follow the Australian wiring rules. Where a ceiling socket is already in place, the fitting plugs straight in. Where no socket is present, a licensed electrician needs to install one.
The fitting is rated IP44 from the front of the fitting once mounted, which covers splashing water at the exposed face. That suits bathroom and laundry ceilings, subject to the zone requirements applying to the location. It is an indoor fitting and is not rated for outdoor positions.
