The Leatherman 830165 is a 21-tool multi-tool and one of the two largest Leatherman builds. The tool set runs from pliers and three wire cutting stations through to spring-action scissors, two 420HC blades, a saw and two files. The 830165 measures 115mm closed, weighs 335g and takes a 79mm primary blade.
Some jobs want the biggest tool in the drawer rather than the lightest one on the belt. At 335g the 830165 is heavier than a pocket multi-tool, and it uses that mass on Leatherman's largest plier head and longest blades. Spring-action scissors and a diamond-coated file are on board, neither of which appears on the smaller tools.
Access is the other half of it. Four blades open from outside the closed tool, so the knife or saw comes out without unfolding the handles first. Every handle tool locks when deployed, and the whole set works one-handed. The 154CM wire cutters lift out for sharpening or replacement when the edges finally go.

The 830165 has no insulation rating. Leatherman publishes no 1000V or VDE certification, so the stripper, cutters and crimper stay clear of anything live. The crimper has no published die specification, so certified terminations need a proper crimp tool. Two further points: the plier head does not lock, and no sheath is supplied with this tool.
