The Leatherman 833093 is a full-size 16-tool multi-tool in a black oxide finish, supplied with a black MOLLE sheath. Its tool set runs from needlenose pliers and an electrical crimper through to a saw, a hammer and a 420HC combo knife blade. The 833093 measures 127mm closed, weighs 317.5g and takes a 76mm primary blade.
Leatherman built the MUT around maintaining equipment in the field, and the tool set shows it. Alongside the pliers sit an electrical crimper, stranded-wire cutters and a cutting hook, plus a hammer for driving and seating. At 317.5g this is a belt-carried tool rather than a pocket one, which is why the MOLLE sheath comes in the box.
What sets the 833093 apart is that its wearing parts come off. The wire and hard-wire cutters are replaceable inserts, so a chipped cutting edge is a part swap instead of a dead tool. The cutting hook, carbon scraper and disassembly punch are replaceable too. On a tool at this price, that difference decides whether it lasts five years or twenty.
