The Wattmaster DST12 is a 12mm wide double sided adhesive tape supplied on a 10 metre roll, with a 1.7mm thick adhesive layer. The DST12 carries adhesive on both faces, bonding two surfaces together without screws, rivets, or other mechanical fixings. The 12mm bonding face suits slim trims and small components where a wider tape would overhang the part.
Slim trims, edge profiles, and small mounting plates present a very limited bonding area for adhesive fixing. A wider tape overhangs the component, then remains visible along the edge or accumulates dust once the installation is finished. The 12mm bonding face remains inside the footprint of a narrow component and stays concealed after installation. A 1.7mm adhesive layer still bridges the surface texture that defeats thin double sided tape on painted timber, render, or moulded plastic.
The DST12 spends its working life on small fixings: a label plate, a clip on a finished surface, a moulding positioned before the permanent fixing goes in. A narrow tape also stretches further, because ten metres at 12mm covers considerably more individual fixings than the same length in a wider roll. The adhesive bond remains between the components, so the visible surface carries no screw heads and no plugs to fill. On second fix and handover work that keeps the remedial list short.
The Wattmaster DST12 is not rated for electrical insulation and does not replace approved insulation tape on conductors, joints, or terminations.
