The Major Tech RSS27 is a 27 piece ratchet socket set built around a 1/2in drive quick release ratchet handle with 72 teeth. The RSS27 carries 20 metric sockets spanning 8mm to 32mm, two spark plug sockets, a universal joint, two extension bars, and a 3/8in to 1/2in adaptor. Every piece is chrome vanadium, supplied in a metal case measuring 446mm by 155mm by 40mm.
Loose sockets accumulate at the bottom of the bag, and the size a particular installation demands is invariably the one missing. A coarse ratchet mechanism cannot index inside a switchboard cavity or behind a motor mount, where available swing is minimal. The RSS27 addresses both constraints with a 72 tooth quick release ratchet, a 1/2in drive configuration, and a metal case that keeps the set accounted for between jobs.
A 1/2in drive configuration reaches the heavier electrical installations a 1/4in kit cannot: switchboard bolts, cable tray, strut channel, and motor mounts. Chrome vanadium is the standard alloy steel for sockets transmitting that torque. The 446mm metal case lays flat in a ute drawer. Quick release separates sockets from the anvil without levering them away manually.
