        CABAC | Bluetooth DIN Timer 1-Module 16A 240V 70-Program | Digital S-Click

The CABAC HNS810TM is a Bluetooth-enabled single-module DIN timer for fixed-wire electrical installations, rated 240V 50Hz, with up to 70 ON/OFF programmes per day and 980 total memory spaces across a 7-day cycle. The HNS810TM meets IEC 60730-1, IEC 60730-2-7, and AS/NZS 4268 standards and operates via the free S-Click smartphone app (iOS and Android), eliminating the need for hardware panel programming.

Electricians managing multi-zone heating, pump control, and automated lighting in residential and small commercial settings often install fixed timers to reduce energy waste during low-occupancy periods. The HNS810TM addresses this challenge by offering a sophisticated programming interface without costly relay cabinets or site-specific commissioning. A single app stores unlimited device presets, so electricians setting up multiple identical installations can clone configurations instantly across locations. The supercapacitor-backed real-time clock ensures timekeeping survives power outages for 99+ years, and overlapping schedules allow complex multi-zone sequencing without separate control logic.

Installers value the HNS810TM for straightforward DIN rail mounting into standard switchboards and its ability to control resistive and inductive loads (8A at 0.6 power factor). The volt-free relay output suits any electrical load — heating elements, pump motors, solenoid valves, contactor coils — giving it versatility across trades. Daylight Saving Time adjustment is automatic, and onboard service counters track device uptime and total load runtime for preventive maintenance planning. The illuminated LED indicator provides immediate visual feedback on switch status and Bluetooth sync, eliminating confusion during commissioning or troubleshooting.

        Features

        • 70 daily ON/OFF programmes with 7-day cycling — supports up to 980 memory spaces total, allowing complex schedules such as staggered startup sequences, peak-shaving profiles, and seasonal programme banks.
        • Overlapping timer schedules — multiple programmes can run concurrently without power cuts, enabling smooth transitions between heating zones or staged equipment startup.
        • Bluetooth Low Energy with S-Click app — free iOS and Android app allows full programming, schedule storage, and device cloning; Bluetooth is activation-triggered for security (press physical button for 3 seconds to enable pairing).
        • Supercapacitor-backed real-time clock — battery-free, 99+ year power reserve ensures timekeeping survives long-term supply loss without replacing cells.
        • Automatic Daylight Saving Time adjustment — eliminates manual clock resets during DST transitions (enabled by default, user-configurable).
        • Volt-free relay output — 16A resistive, 8A inductive (0.6 power factor), suits incandescent, heating elements, pumps, solenoid valves, and contactor coils.
        • DIN rail mounting with large screw terminals — accepts stranded 1.5mm² or solid 2.5mm² cable; captive washers prevent wire stripping during connection.
        • Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade — S-Click app pushes firmware updates directly to the HNS810TM without reinstallation or downtime.
        • Service counter with four parameters — tracks device uptime, total load ON time, load ON time since last reset, and reset date for maintenance scheduling.
        • Pulse mode (1-second minimum) — allows brief energisation cycles for manual jog control or equipment test sequences.

        Where to use

        • Heating system time control — pubs, restaurants, and small hotels use the HNS810TM to schedule hot water and radiator heating during trading hours, reducing standby losses.
        • Pump and motor duty cycles — water treatment facilities, spa facilities, and agricultural pump systems benefit from overlapping schedules and load-hour tracking.
        • Multi-zone lighting schedules — retail and office buildings use the HNS810TM to automate zone-by-zone lighting and emergency circuits without hardwired logic.
        • Seasonal programme banking — installers store winter heating profiles, summer off-peak profiles, and holiday shutdown sequences in the S-Click app for one-tap activation.
        • Equipment startup sequencing — manufacturing and workshop environments use overlapping schedules to stagger compressor, chiller, and pump startup, reducing inrush current and generator load.
        • Maintenance-critical applications — the built-in service counters allow predictive maintenance; electricians monitor load runtime to schedule element replacement or motor inspections without guesswork.

The HNS810TM is not suitable for dimming, fan speed control, or variable-speed motor control (use a dedicated motor starter or fan controller instead). Do not use this timer on uncontrolled loads exceeding 16A resistive or 8A inductive at 0.6 power factor; oversized loads will trip internal thermal cutouts and may cause permanent damage. Installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician in compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and the manufacturer's manual. The Bluetooth pairing button must be physically accessible on the installed unit; do not install behind sealed blanking plates or in locked enclosures if remote reprogramming is required.

        (HNS810TM)

The HNS810TM is a digital timer with Bluetooth app control, supporting up to 70 daily programmes and overlapping schedules. Analogue timers offer fixed 24-hour cycles with a single programme, cannot overlap, and require manual adjustment for Daylight Saving Time. The HNS810TM suits complex heating and pump duty cycles; analogue timers suit basic on/off switching (e.g. simple overnight heating).

The HNS810TM uses activation-triggered Bluetooth for security. You must press the physical pairing button on the unit for 3 seconds to enable Bluetooth, then use the S-Click app to view status and adjust schedules while in range. You cannot reprogram from across town; you must have physical access to activate Bluetooth pairing. This design prevents accidental or malicious remote manipulation of critical loads.

The HNS810TM supports up to 70 ON/OFF programmes per day across a 7-day cycle (980 memory spaces total). You can save unlimited preset configurations in the S-Click app; each preset is a complete schedule that you can instantly clone to another HNS810TM unit.

The volt-free relay output switches 16A resistive loads (incandescent, heating elements) and 8A inductive loads at 0.6 power factor (pumps, solenoid valves, contactor coils). Do not connect loads exceeding these ratings; oversized loads will trip internal thermal protection and may damage the timer. For larger loads, use an intermediate contactor with the HNS810TM as the trigger.

The HNS810TM has no built-in manual override button. The relay is normally open (off) if no programme is scheduled or if power is lost. Emergency OFF is achieved by switching off the mains supply or using the circuit breaker protecting the installation. If manual override is critical to your application, use a separate manual selector switch in series with the HNS810TM output.

No. The HNS810TM is an ON/OFF timer only; it cannot vary motor speed or fan airflow. For variable control, use a dedicated fan speed controller (for AC fans) or motor drive. The HNS810TM is suitable only for full-speed pump duty cycles and on/off heating element control.

Missing Two Critical Elements on 7 March 2022

It's a great idea but it fails in two critical areas.... 1. You have to make physical contact with the switch in order to alter any schedules. So what's the point of having Bluetooth? I expected to be able to modify schedules and have a "boost" function that I could use remotely at will. 2. No manual override! ------It's a failure. It works well, but without those two things, I would never invest in another.

Not for dummies on 17 December 2020

End user review (an IT Tech). This is not what I would expect of a bluetooth device. The point of Bluetooth is you can configure it from a distance, in this case probably from the comfort of your home (if within range). What this doesn't tell you is you have to be at the timer and press pair for 10 seconds EACH TIME you want to have a configuration session! It doesn't constantly transmit a bluetooth signal. Defeats one of the benefits of Bluetooth. The other thing is there's no simple way to have Always Off or Always On (as you have with an analogue timer). You can't have one timer run from 00:00 to 23:59 because that causes a 1 minute power cut. It won't do 00:00 to 00:00 (24 hours later), so the only way to achieve it is 2 timers that overlap (08:00 to 20:00 & 19:59 to 08:01) - save that as 'Always on'. It's impossible to create an Always Off timer (though you can turn it off with the circuit breaker ). Once you know all this and provided you don't need to change config often probably not a big deal, but I do wonder about trying to explain to someone not familiar with it (a visitor if you're not home) how to turn on the hot water if it's been off. I do think there's a case for having a manual override On switch (and probably Off - as there is on analogue timers). Applicable to any Bluetooth timer Another thing that worries me is how long Bluetooth or this version of Bluetooth will be available on phones etc. Most of these kind of standards disappear eventually and try to find a device that can communicate to an old one (think serial or scuzzy cables).
