The Clipsal E40AR-AG is a blank switch rocker for the Clipsal Iconic Essence range, finished in the Ash Grey colour tint. The rocker measures 23.0 mm high, 23.0 mm wide and 2.0 mm deep, and clips into an Iconic Essence cover plate. The E40AR-AG is supplied as a set of one and carries no printed pictogram or text on its face.
A switch position marked for one circuit reads wrong once that circuit is repurposed or removed. The E40AR-AG carries no pictogram, so it suits any position where a printed marking would mislead the person operating it. The rocker clips into the Essence plate, which keeps the change at the visible face rather than at the grid or the wiring behind it.
Finish changes on an Iconic Essence switch happen at the rocker and the cover plate. Both sit in front of the grid and the mechanisms. Because the E40AR-AG clips into the plate, a matt Ash Grey face can be fitted to a switch already wired into the wall without disturbing the terminals.
