The Clipsal Iconic E3015XA-AW is a horizontal single switched socket outlet rated 10A at 250V, with a second removable switch on the same plate. The E3015XA-AW is supplied as a made-up assembly: an Iconic single socket mechanism and grid plate with a birch timber Essence cover frame fitted. The socket carries internal shutters, and the cover frame is RoHS compliant under a Schneider Electric declaration of conformity.
Single-outlet positions are often at eye level: a bedhead, an entry console, the wall behind a television. This assembly carries an Arctic White Essence cover frame, so the plate presents as joinery trim rather than switchgear. The birch edge reads against timber cabinetry in a renovated room, where the plate line is on show.
The E3015XA-AW arrives made up ready to fit off, so the finish is set before the plate reaches the wall. The Essence cover frame uses a clip-on fixing over the Iconic grid plate, so the visible finish can change later without disturbing the wiring. The Essence frame measures 131mm wide by 85mm high and 9mm deep across the range, single and double alike. A single outlet with an extra switch takes the same wall space as an Essence double, so plan the position with that in mind.
