The Clipsal Iconic E3025-AG is a horizontal double switched socket outlet rated 10A at 250V. The E3025-AG is supplied as a made-up assembly: an Iconic double socket mechanism and grid plate with a birch timber Essence cover frame fitted. Both sockets carry shutters over the apertures, and the cover frame is RoHS compliant under a Schneider Electric declaration of conformity.
A moulded white plate disappears into plasterboard and reads as unfinished detailing in a completed interior. This assembly carries an Ash Grey Essence cover frame in birch timber, so the plate presents as joinery trim rather than switchgear. The dark stained edge holds a line against darker cabinetry and stained joinery, where a pale plate would sit forward of the surface.
The E3025-AG arrives made up ready to fit off, so the finish is set before the plate reaches the wall. The Essence cover frame uses a clip-on fixing over the Iconic grid plate, so the visible finish can change later without disturbing the wiring. Specifying one frame finish holds the plate line consistent from the entry through to the bedrooms.
No IP rating is published for the E3025-AG, so it is an interior fitting only. Keep the assembly clear of bathroom and laundry splash zones, alfresco walls and any position where the birch timber frame would sit in standing damp. The Essence cover frame is birch timber in the Ash Grey colour tint, where a standard Iconic plate is moulded thermoplastic. The Essence frame is also larger, at 131mm wide by 85mm high and 9mm deep, so it covers more wall around the cut-out.
The Essence cover frame is clip-on and sits over the Iconic grid plate, so the visible finish can be swapped without touching the wiring or the mechanism. Any Iconic cover frame built for a horizontal double switched socket suits the same grid plate.
The E3025-AG is supplied complete: the double switched socket mechanism on its grid plate, with the Ash Grey Essence cover frame fitted. No separate cover purchase is needed, and nothing further is required to make the plate up on site.
The Essence cover frame is rated 0 to 45 degrees Celsius for operation, at 10 to 95 percent relative humidity. That covers normal interior conditions in Australian homes and commercial interiors. It is not a rating for weather exposure or direct water contact.
Clipsal covers the product for one year in domestic use and one year in commercial use, starting from the invoice date. Clipsal handles claims directly as an in-home warranty, so the fitting does not need to be removed and returned. The warranty is void unless a licensed electrician installed it.
