The Clipsal E3045-AW is a five gang light switch rated 10 A 250 V, built on the Clipsal Iconic platform with an Iconic Essence cover frame in Arctic White. The E3045-AW ships complete: switch grid, five rocker mechanisms, pre-installed mounting screws and the Essence cover frame. Each mechanism is a 1-pole 1-way type, so the five rockers switch five separate lighting circuits from one plate. The cover frame is birch timber with an Arctic White face and a birch edge.
By five gangs the plate has become a feature of the wall whether you wanted it to or not, and a flat white one draws the eye for the wrong reason. The E3045-AW puts five rockers on one plate behind a birch timber cover frame, so the switch matches timber cabinetry and door hardware instead of fighting it. The frame is 8.5 mm deep, which keeps the finished face close to the wall. Nothing about the wiring changes.
The E3045-AW terminates and fits off the same way as any other Iconic switch. Mounting screws come pre-installed, so the grid goes straight onto the wall box, and a flap covers the screws and mounting holes once the plate is on. The cover frame uses a clip-on fixing, so the finish can be changed later without disturbing the grid or any of the mechanisms.
