The Clipsal Y3HS900-BK is a 900mm three-blade DC ceiling fan rated 230/240V AC at 50Hz, drawing 32W. It moves 7000 cubic metres of air an hour at a maximum 270 rpm, and carries an IP20 rating for residential use. The Y3HS900-BK hangs on a Hangsure bracket and ships with a remote control and an Iconic three-speed fan controller.
Small bedrooms, studies and units leave little room between a blade tip and the nearest wall. The 900mm sweep needs 300 mm of clearance to the nearest object, which a tight room can give. The DC motor draws 32W and the noise rating is 50 dB, against a 7000 cubic metre per hour air flow. Speed, direction and a 2, 4 or 6 hour timer all run from the supplied remote.
The Hangsure bracket screws to a joist first, then the motor assembly lifts onto it and a safety cable screws to the bracket. Where the customer wants remote-only control, the fan control module is simply left out of the wiring. Remote and wall switch can also run together on the same fan. An LED light module can be added later by untwisting the cover and plugging into the fan assembly connector.

The Y3HS900-BK is rated IP20 for indoor installation and is not for outdoor or wet locations. Blades must sit 2.1 metres above the floor, with 300 mm clear to the nearest wall or object. The Hangsure bracket needs a structural member that will carry 30 kg, and the hanging system takes a pitched ceiling up to 15 degrees.
