The Hager EGN103 is a single-channel electronic time switch that drives connected loads on a seven-day program. Output is one changeover contact rated 16 A. The EGN103 mounts on DIN rail to EN 60715 and takes two modules on the board. Supply is 230 V AC or 240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, and 56 On or Off program steps are held in memory.
A manual switch leaves a load running until someone gets to the board. The EGN103 puts that on a schedule instead, with 56 program steps across seven days, entered by day or by group of days. Automatic daylight savings changeover holds the schedule when the clocks move, and the Australian setting follows the first Sunday in October and the first Sunday in April.
The EGN103 leaves the factory with the time and day already set, so the clock does not need establishing on site. Programming works with the unit off, which means the schedule can be loaded before the board is energised. An optional Bluetooth key lets the program be built in a free phone app and copied into the switch.
The EGN103 is not suitable for SELV loads. The case is rated IP20, so the unit is not built for exposed or unenclosed positions and belongs inside a board. Operating temperature runs from -5 to +45 degrees C, and positions outside that range sit beyond the specified conditions.

The Hager EGN103 is a one-channel electronic time switch with a seven-day program. It switches connected loads through a 16 A changeover contact on a set weekly schedule, and mounts on DIN rail inside a switchboard or enclosure.
The EGN103 holds 56 program steps, each set to On or Off. Steps are entered by day or by group of days, and the shortest gap allowed between two steps is one minute.
The contact carries up to 16 A AC1 at 230 V. Incandescent and 230 V halogen loads are rated to 2300 W on the normally open contact, and compact fluorescent or LED loads to 400 W. Minimum breaking capacity is 100 mA.
The EGN103 must be installed by a qualified electrician working to the installation standards that apply. It is a DIN rail device wired into a switchboard, and a 16 A circuit breaker is specified upstream of the switch.
A lithium battery holds the clock and the stored program through a mains failure, with a rated life of five years. The display drops out after a minute without supply and the switch returns to auto mode once power comes back.
Programming over Bluetooth is available with the Hager EGN003 key, which plugs into the switch and pairs with a free configuration app for iOS and Android. The key is sold separately. Programs can also be entered on the keypad.
The keypad can be locked with a Hager EG004 key, and unlocked the same way. Locking stops the schedule being altered by accident once the switch is commissioned.
The EGN103 is not suitable for controlling SELV loads. The IP20 case means the unit is built for mounting inside a board rather than an exposed position, and operating temperature is limited to a range of -5 to +45 degrees C.
