The Martec MLDC123W is a 1220mm (48 inch) ceiling fan driven by a 23W brushless DC motor, finished in matt white. The MLDC123W carries three ABS blades set at a 12 degree pitch and runs on 220-240V a.c. at 50-60Hz. The fan is supplied with a wall control and is fully reversible for summer and winter operation.
Choosing a ceiling fan for a bedroom or covered patio means weighing airflow against power draw and noise. The MLDC123W delivers up to 9,000m3/hr at its highest speed from a 23W brushless DC motor, an efficiency of up to 400m3/hr per watt. Three speeds step down to 7,300m3/hr for overnight running. The Legend DC uses a fast fix blade system: each blade inserts into a slot, clips in, then locks with a screw. A patented release lever behind the bottom plate frees a blade again for servicing. Summer and winter reverse is set from the supplied wall control, with the fan switched off, by dialling 1-2-1-2-1 within three seconds.

- Fan only, no light — the MLDC123W is supplied without a light kit and cannot serve as a light point.

- Ceilings with a sound fixing point — the joist or structure must carry at least 20kg, with 30mm minimum screw penetration.
- Year-round rooms — reverse operation from the wall control changes blade direction for summer and winter running.

The MLDC123W is rated for indoor and covered outdoor use only. Do not install it in fully exposed outdoor positions or anywhere open to direct rain and weather. Martec excludes damage caused by excessive wind, dust, water or salt air from warranty, which rules out unprotected coastal positions. The fan carries no light kit, so it cannot serve as a sole ceiling light point.
