The Mercator SMI7040-WIFI is a 40W Wi-Fi LED batten light from the Ford range, rated 4000 lumens with colour temperature adjustable from 3000K to 5700K through the Ikuü app. The SMI7040-WIFI measures 1235mm, throws a 130 degree beam at CRI above 80, and joins an existing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with no hub required. It runs on 220 to 240V a.c. and complies with AS/NZS 60598.1, AS/NZS 60598.2.1, and AS/NZS 4268.
A batten luminaire is conventionally a specification made once and regretted subsequently. Colour temperature is fixed at purchase or configured on a switch inside the fitting, so altering it later requires a ladder, a screwdriver, and the luminaire off the ceiling. The SMI7040-WIFI relocates that specification decision to the phone. 3000K to 5700K adjusts through the app after handover, alongside dimming, timers, and schedules.
