        NLS | 400mm Opal Sphere Post Top Light E27 | IP44

        The NLS 20049 is a 400mm opal sphere post top light with an E27 lamp holder, rated IP44 for outdoor use. The 20049 takes a single E27 lamp up to 100W, which is not supplied, and runs on 230-240V mains. The opal sphere diffuses the lamp sitting inside it.

        A bare lamp on a post throws hard shadows and glare into eye line along a path. The 20049 wraps the lamp in a 400mm opal sphere, so light leaves the fitting spread across the whole surface. The IP44 rating covers splashing water from any direction, which is what a post top sees in rain.

        The 20049 takes a standard E27 lamp, so colour temperature and output are chosen at fit-off. A failed lamp is changed without touching the fitting, and the holder accepts any E27 cap within the 100W ceiling. NLS is an Australian owned business supplying lamps and electrical accessories, operating since March 2005.

        • Lamp chosen at fit-off — the 20049 uses an E27 holder, so colour temperature is settled on site rather than at order.

        IP44 covers splashing water, so the 20049 is not rated for direct hosing, jetting or immersion, and must not be installed below ground or in water features. The fitting carries no coastal or marine rating, so salt-air exposure is not covered. Do not exceed the 100W lamp ceiling.
