Wattmaster | Ratcheting Crimper Kit 0.5 to 10mm² with 3 Die Sets | Hardened 3mm Alloy Steel

The Wattmaster WATK007-KIT is a ratcheting hand crimper supplied with three interchangeable die sets, covering pre-insulated, non-insulated and bootlace terminals. The WATK007-KIT is built from hardened 3mm special alloy steel, measures 240mm long and weighs 690g. Crimping capacity runs from 0.5mm² up to 10mm², depending on which of the three supplied dies is fitted.

Pre-insulated, non-insulated and bootlace terminals each take a different crimp profile, so a single fixed-die crimper only covers part of the work. The WATK007-KIT carries three die sets on one frame, swapped over by a click-fit action that takes seconds. Dies that are not in use sit inside the handles, so the set stays together between jobs.

One frame covers three terminal families, so there is no tool changeover part-way through a termination. The ratchet mechanism works toward a consistent crimp across a long run of terminals rather than relying on hand pressure. The same click-fit interface takes 12 different die types, so the frame's coverage extends without buying another crimper.

        Features

        • Three die sets supplied — the WATK007-KIT ships with dies for pre-insulated terminals, non-insulated terminals and bootlace ferrules.
        • Click-fit die change — dies swap over in seconds by a simple click action, with no fasteners to undo and no separate tool needed.
        • Die storage in the handles — the two dies not currently fitted stow inside the tool handles, so the full set travels with the frame.
        • Pre-insulated capacity 0.5 to 6.0mm² — covers the common pre-insulated terminal and connector sizes used in appliance and equipment work.
        • Non-insulated capacity 1.5 to 10.0mm² — suits bare terminals and connectors up to 10mm² on the supplied non-insulated die.
        • Bootlace capacity 0.5 to 10.0mm² — crimps bootlace ferrules across the full range in one die, from 0.5mm² control wiring up to 10mm².
        • Ratchet mechanism — drives the jaws through a repeatable stroke, giving a consistent crimp across a run of terminals.
        • Hardened 3mm alloy steel frame — the WATK007-KIT is made from hardened 3mm special alloy steel for repeated trade use.
        • Hardened die sets — the dies themselves are hardened, holding their crimp profile rather than spreading under load.
        • Bi-component handles — two-material grips give a defined hand position through repeated crimping.
        • 240mm tool length — the longer frame gives a two-handed purchase on the stroke while still fitting inside a board or panel.
        • Supplied dies cover three terminal types — open barrel, coaxial and modular plug terminations need a different die, which is not part of this kit.

        Where to use

        • Switchboard and sub-board terminations — the WATK007-KIT crimps non-insulated terminals and connectors on board and mains work up to 10mm².
        • Control panel wiring — bootlace ferrules land cleanly in DIN terminal blocks and screw terminals across control and instrumentation circuits.
        • Appliance and equipment repair — pre-insulated terminals and connectors on cooktops, motors, pumps and machine looms.
        • Mixed-terminal service calls — the click-fit die change means the terminal type does not have to be known before arriving on site.
        • Mobile and van-based work — dies stowed in the handles keep the WATK007-KIT as a single item in the tool bag with nothing loose to lose.
        • Bench and workshop cable preparation — the ratchet stroke suits batching a run of terminals to the same crimp.

The WATK007-KIT is not set up above 10mm²: the supplied dies stop at 10mm² on non-insulated and bootlace terminals, and at 6mm² on pre-insulated terminals. Open barrel terminals, coaxial plugs and modular data plugs call for dies outside this kit. Lugs and terminals larger than 10mm² are outside the supplied die range.
