The Major Tech MT152 is a professional laser distance meter rated to measure from 0.05 to 100 metres with typical accuracy of ±1mm. The MT152 stores the last 20 measurements and transfers them over Bluetooth 4.0 to Android or iOS devices through the Meterbox iLDM app. Its Class I laser and IP54 double-moulded rubber case make it splash proof and dust resistant for outdoor and site work.
Measuring long runs by hand ties up two people and introduces tape error across a large site. The MT152 takes an accurate one-person reading to remote or hard-to-reach points, with shortcut keys for addition, subtraction, area, and volume. Indirect Pythagoras and tilt-sensor measurement work out heights and clearances that a tape measure cannot reach directly.
For estimating and fit-out work, the MT152 puts distance, area, and volume on a four-line display in seconds, which speeds up quoting and set-out. The stake-out function marks repeated set distances, and continuous measurement tracks minimum and maximum as the operator moves. Readings sync to the app, so figures come off the tool and into a quote without re-keying.
The MT152 is not submersible and is not rated for heavy rain or immersion, only splash and dust under IP54. Measuring accuracy can drop on very bright surfaces or against poor targets at the far end of the 100 metre span.
