The Rectorseal MIGHTYBRACKET is a portable installation support tool that holds indoor split system air conditioning units securely in place during mounting, refrigerant, and electrical connections. Designed to enable single-person installation on most mini-split brands, the bracket supports units up to 40 kilograms and folds flat for storage.
Installing outdoor-mounted indoor units typically requires two people: one holding the unit at the correct height while the other makes connections. The MIGHTYBRACKET eliminates this coordination by gripping the unit on the mounting hooks, freeing both hands to work. The tool clips to standard mini-split mounting plate tabs and does not damage walls when foot supports rest flat against the surface. For units without factory tabs, the mounting hooks thread directly into wall studs.
Single-person capability transforms installation efficiency on jobs where an extra set of hands is impractical or unavailable. The clip-on design works across most major brands without modification. Protective sleeve socks on the lift gates prevent scratching cabinet surfaces during setup. Once refrigerant lines, condensate drain, and electrical connections are complete, the bracket removes cleanly and the unit slots onto the mounting plate permanently. The folding design and included tote bag keep the tool portable between sites.
When not suitable: Units heavier than 40 kilograms or with non-standard mounting plate geometry may require alternative support methods. Always consult the manufacturer's installation instructions and verify mounting plate compatibility before use.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Attach Mounting Hooks of Mighty Bracket to the mini-split mounting plate tabs. (If no tabs are present on the mounting plate, Mighty Bracket hooks can be attached by screws threaded into the wall stud.)
2. Place Foot Supports flat against the wall. (If necessary to avoid potential wall scratching, place clean towel or cardboard between support foot and wall surface)
3. Position Level Adjustment Pins to make the Support Arm of the brackets horizontal.
4. Position lift Gates at the end of Support Arms to make sure the unit cannot slide off.
5. Place protective Sleeve Socks over Gates to avoid scratching the unit.
6. Set the unit securely onto the top of the Support Arms.
7. Connect refrigerant lines
8. Connect condensate drain piping and electrical wiring.
9. Carefully lift and place the indoor unit onto the top tabs of the mounting plate.
10. While ensuring the unit does not fall, carefully remove Mighty Bracket and installation is complete.

(MIGHTBRACKET)
The bracket supports split system indoor units up to 40 kilograms. The manufacturer specifies a maximum load of 100 pounds, which equates to approximately 45 kilograms. Always verify the weight of your specific indoor unit against the manufacturer's specifications before use. Overloading the bracket creates a fall hazard and voids any warranty.
The MIGHTYBRACKET is designed to clip onto standard mini-split mounting plate tabs found on most brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, and Panasonic units. If your mounting plate lacks factory tabs, the mounting hooks thread directly into wall studs using standard fasteners. Check your unit's mounting plate against the bracket's hook geometry before purchase. Sparky Direct can help confirm compatibility if you provide the manufacturer and model number.
Attach the mounting hooks to the mini-split mounting plate tabs or, if tabs are absent, thread them into wall studs. Position the foot supports flat against the wall (use a clean towel or cardboard between the support feet and the wall surface if scratching is a concern). Adjust the level pins to make the support arm horizontal. Position the lift gates at the end of the support arms to prevent the unit sliding off. Place protective sleeve socks over the gates, then carefully set the unit onto the support arms. Once refrigerant lines, condensate drain, and electrical connections are complete, lift the unit onto the permanent mounting plate tabs and carefully remove the bracket.
No. The bracket's foot supports rest flat against the wall and do not drill, punch, or puncture surfaces. The mounting hooks attach to either factory-installed mounting plate tabs or into existing wall studs using screws threaded by the installer. If you are concerned about contact marks, place a clean towel or piece of cardboard between the support feet and the wall during setup. The protective sleeve socks prevent the lift gates from scratching the unit cabinet itself.
The MIGHTYBRACKET folds flat and comes with a tote bag for transport and storage. Once the unit is permanently mounted and the bracket is removed, disassemble the support arms, fold the component parts together, and place them in the included bag. The flat profile allows storage in a vehicle, toolbox, or job site storage locker without taking up significant space. Inspect the bracket visually before each use to ensure no components are bent or cracked.
The bracket carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period starts from the invoice date. Warranty coverage is void if the bracket is misused, overloaded beyond its 40-kilogram capacity, or if any component is modified. Damage caused by dropping, impact, or neglect is not covered.
The bracket is a mechanical support tool and does not contact or interact with refrigerant lines directly. However, when paired with Rectorseal NoKink copper refrigerant line clamps, the bracket provides the stable platform needed to connect lineset fittings safely without kinking the tubing. Install the bracket, use it to hold the unit in position, then make all refrigerant connections while the unit is secure. Always follow the refrigerant manufacturer's guidelines and the air conditioning unit installation manual for correct connection procedures.
