The GoodWe GW3000-XS-30 is a 3kW single phase grid-tied solar inverter from the XS G3 series, built around a single MPP tracker taking one string. The GW3000-XS-30 delivers 3000W nominal output at 220, 230 or 240V AC, with a maximum efficiency of 97.6% and a European efficiency of 97.1%. It carries an IP66 ingress rating and cools by natural convection, so there is no fan to fail or to make noise. The unit weighs 4.6kg and measures 306mm wide by 218mm high by 119mm deep.
Small residential arrays occupy an awkward specification bracket. The roof accommodates six or eight panels, the household consumption does not justify a 5kW unit, and the string still requires an inverter that will not become the limiting factor in annual yield. Deliberately undersizing the inverter against the array is now standard installation practice, so the DC oversizing headroom matters more than the nameplate rating. The GW3000-XS-30 accepts 200% DC input oversizing across a 40 to 550V MPPT window, with a 16A maximum input current on its single tracker.
Installers judge a small inverter on the interval between unpacking it and commissioning it. The GW3000-XS-30 is A4 sized and 4.6kg, which makes it a single-operator lift onto a mounting bracket at height. Its plug and play AC connector and MC4 DC connectors reduce termination time, and the DC switch is integrated rather than mounted separately alongside the unit. Configuration and ongoing monitoring both run through the onboard LCD and the application over WLAN.

The GW3000-XS-30 is a grid-tied inverter and does not provide backup or off-grid supply, so it stops exporting when the grid drops out.
