The Major Tech ECCT300 is a battery-powered hydraulic multitool that crimps and cuts, rated at 24kN with a 30mm stroke. It crimps copper up to 300mm2 and aluminium up to 240mm2, and cuts copper or aluminium cable to 30mm diameter. The ECCT300 carries a 350 degree rotating crimping head and an OLED display for crimping time, battery charge, and fault codes. It ships as a kit with eleven dies, interchangeable heads, two 18V 2.0Ah batteries, a charger, and a carry case.
A combined crimper and cutter earns its place by removing the second tool from the vehicle. The ECCT300 runs interchangeable crimping and cutting heads on one body, with a 350 degree rotating crimping head for confined or overhead positions. At 11.7kg packed it is the more portable of the two combined tools Major Tech offers. A two-stage hydraulic system drives the ram through its 30mm stroke.
The specification that determines suitability sits in the cutting range. Major Tech states the ECCT300 is not suitable for cutting fine or extra fine stranded cables, a limitation repeated twice in the technical data. Flexible welding lead and fine-stranded control cable therefore fall outside its scope regardless of diameter. Confirm the conductor construction, not simply the diameter, before committing the tool to a job.
