The 20074 fits a 90mm ceiling cut-out, measures 115mm across by 60mm deep, and throws a 120 degree beam. It carries an IP44 rating on the front face only and runs on a dimmable driver.
Downlight selection usually stalls on colour temperature: warm white in the bedrooms, cool white through the kitchen, daylight in the laundry, and three part numbers on the van to cover it. Where a ceiling socket is already in place, the 20074 can be swapped over without a licensed electrician. Installing a new socket, running new cable, or altering the existing ceiling wiring in any way is licensed electrical work and must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
A three-position toggle switch on the fitting sets the colour, with 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6000K daylight available. Set it before the downlight goes up. Changing it afterwards means dropping the fitting back out of the ceiling, as there is no wall switch control.
The downlight runs on a dimmable driver. It needs a dimmer rated for LED loads, such as a trailing edge type, matched to the total connected wattage on the circuit. A dimmer intended for incandescent or halogen loads may flicker or limit the dimming range.
The 20074 puts out 1300 lumens at 13 watts. That sits above a typical 10W LED downlight and comfortably above a 50W halogen, so fewer fittings are needed to reach the same light level across a room.
The visible front face is rated against splash and moisture from below, which suits a protected bathroom or laundry ceiling. The body and driver above the ceiling carry no ingress rating, so the roof space must stay dry and the fitting is not for exposed outdoor positions.
