The RWB2 wireless base is designed for Red R240 and R240RC 240V photoelectric smoke alarms. It replaces the standard hinge base on these units, letting them interconnect wirelessly with other paired Red alarms, including the R10RF wireless alarm, across the home.
A wireless interconnect base lets mains-powered smoke alarms link by radio frequency instead of interconnect cable. When one alarm detects smoke, every paired alarm sounds together. The RWB2 uses a 433.92 MHz signal and connects up to 20 alarms wirelessly, or up to 40 over a hard-wired interconnect.
The RWB2 wireless base interconnects by radio frequency with compatible Red 240V mains-powered smoke alarms and with the Red R10RF wireless smoke alarm. Once paired, smoke detected at any unit sounds every alarm on the network, linking mains and battery alarms into one interconnected group.
