The Wago 207-1432Single is a gelbox for a 221 Series splicing connector rated to 6mm². It is a grey, gel-filled enclosure that seals a made-up joint against moisture ingress in damp positions. The 207-1432Single measures 49.4mm by 21.3mm by 40.1mm and is supplied without splicing connectors.
A splicing connector on its own carries no seal, so a joint sitting in a damp position is exposed. The 207-1432Single encloses the made-up connector in gel that seals around the conductors. The complete system of gelbox and splicing connector is VDE-tested and IPX8-certified, rather than the box alone.
The gelbox opens and closes on a side latch locking system, so the joint is made up first and enclosed after. It is re-accessible: the box opens, the gel comes out, and the joint is rewired with new components. Ambient operating range runs from -55 to +85 degrees C.
The 207-1432Single is supplied without splicing connectors, so a 221 Series connector must be bought separately. Storage temperature range is 0 to +40 degrees C, which is narrower than the operating range. Once the gel is removed the joint has to be rewired with new components.
