        Unit was easy and simple to install, took only 5 to 10 minutes as was replacing a faulty unit so wiring already there. Liked the design of plug in and base, made it easier to fit base to ceiling and wire up with extra bulk of the main unit. Also makes for a straight forward battery replacement

        Clipsal 755 PFM smoke detector on 6 March 2016

        This product is a direct upgrade from previous Clipsal PMA ionisation detectors and is ideal for retrofit or new installations. The Ionisation detectors have performed for their 10-year life quite well and only one failure. The installation is well documented and when pre-wiring is possible, ideal for any project requiring next code upgrades. I believe that for retrofit a future wireless model is in the pipeline ?
