        The Clipsal MX9MN320 is a 20A miniature circuit breaker in a 3P+N pole configuration, rated 415V AC for three-phase circuit protection. The MX9MN320 uses a C curve tripping profile, with magnetic tripping between 5 and 10 times rated current. It carries a 6000A breaking capacity conforming to AS/NZS 60898 and forms part of the Clipsal MAX9 range.

        Three-phase submains and distribution circuits draw heavy inrush at start-up, and a lower tripping band nuisance-trips every time the load kicks in. The C curve magnetic trip band of 5 to 10 times rated current rides through that initial surge from motors, compressors and large lighting arrays. Boards feeding those loads also need the neutral switched rather than simply linked, so the circuit isolates fully at the device. The 3P+N configuration breaks all three phases and the neutral together.

        On a commercial board the MX9MN320 clips onto standard DIN rail and occupies 53mm of rail width, so a switched-neutral three-phase device fits without pushing the job into a bigger enclosure. Tunnel terminals land 1 to 16mm2 rigid or 1 to 10mm2 flexible conductors, which covers most three-phase subcircuit tails straight off the truck.
