The Major Tech MT329 is a handheld multifunction installation tester combining insulation, continuity, resistance, loop impedance, RCD, voltage, and phase sequence testing, rated CAT IV 300V and CAT III 600V to IEC 61010-1. It tests insulation at 250V, 500V, and 1000V up to 4000MΩ, and measures loop impedance with an 18.3A high current method or a no-trip method for RCD-protected circuits. The MT329 runs trip time, trip current, and auto test sequences on Type A, Type AC, and Type B RCDs, with touch voltage and earth resistance readings. Results save to internal memory and transfer over Bluetooth to the Major Tech Meter-X app on iOS and Android.
Installation verification runs the same sequence on every job: insulation, continuity, loop impedance, and RCD performance. Each of those tests once meant its own instrument, and swapping between separate testers slows the board work and doubles the calibration list. The MT329 puts the full sequence behind one rotary selector, from 1000V insulation tests to no-trip loop measurements on circuits protected by RCDs rated 30mA and above. A backlit multi-LCD shows loop impedance, prospective fault current, and supply voltage together instead of one figure at a time.
