The NLS 30933 is a three-module RCBO rated 10A, combining overload, short circuit, and 30mA earth leakage protection in one 3P+N device. The 30933 switches three active poles and carries a solid neutral fed by a 900mm lead. It has a 6kA breaking capacity, a C curve tripping characteristic, and Type A residual current sensing rated 400/415VAC.
Switchboard upgrades often stall on module count. Adding earth leakage protection to a three-phase circuit usually costs width, and a board already running at capacity has none to give. The 30933 measures 54mm across three standard modules, so it drops into the space a 3 pole MCB already occupies. The existing width stays as it is, and the ways freed elsewhere on the rail stay free.
Contractors quoting board upgrades price the ways as much as the devices. A three-module RCBO on each three-phase circuit keeps the ways count down, which keeps the enclosure the same size and the quote competitive. The 30933 lands on standard 35mm DIN rail and takes line conductors up to 35mm², so heavy submains terminate straight into the device. The 900mm neutral lead reaches the neutral bar from anywhere on the rail, with a spare crimp ferrule supplied.
The 30933 is not suitable for 480V single phase SWER supply. It is rated IP20, which suits mounting inside a switchboard enclosure rather than exposed or damp locations. On circuits carrying EMC filtering, such as inverter drives, the filtering can cause unwanted tripping, so confirm the recommended residual current device type with the equipment manufacturer.

A 3P+N device switches the three active poles and leaves the neutral solid, connected to the neutral bar through a lead. A 4 pole device switches the neutral as well. The NLS 3P+N range fits three standard modules at 54mm, the same width as a 3 pole MCB.
The range covers 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, and 40A. Every rating shares the same 54mm three-module body, 6kA breaking capacity, and C curve tripping. Rating selection must match cable size, load demand, and circuit design under the wiring rules.
Switchboard work must be carried out by a licensed electrician. The devices clip to standard 35mm DIN rail and occupy 54mm across three modules. Line conductors up to 35mm² and load conductors up to 25mm² terminate at 2.5Nm.
The neutral lead runs from the device to the switchboard neutral bar. It is 900mm long, and a spare crimp ferrule is supplied with each unit. The neutral pole is solid rather than switched, so only the three active poles open on a trip.
RCBOs over 110mm in length are exempt from ESV compliance listing, and the DR8L-63 datasheet records the range as exempt on that basis. Confirm current requirements with Energy Safe Victoria before specifying, since exemption scope can change.
A C curve, with magnetic tripping between 5 and 10 times rated current, which allows normal inrush on motor circuits and mixed loads. Rated residual current options across the range are 10mA, 30mA, and 100mA. Check the individual product listing for the sensitivity of a given model.
The datasheet records electrical endurance beyond 6000 operations and mechanical endurance beyond 10,000 operations. Operating temperature runs from -5 to +55 degrees C, with storage from -25 to +70 degrees C and tropicalisation tested to 95% relative humidity.
These devices are not rated for 480V single phase SWER supply. On circuits carrying EMC filtering, such as inverter drives, the filtering can cause unwanted tripping. The manufacturer advises confirming the recommended residual current device type with the equipment manufacturer before specifying.
