The camera works over 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi, so a marina network or a phone hotspot carries it. Neither device needs a switchboard connection.
Neither device in the CENBBBS is hard wired. The camera takes a 5V supply through its Type-C port, and the alarm surface mounts with a power on and power off bracket. The smoke alarm surface mounts to a ceiling or bulkhead using the supplied power on and power off bracket, and runs on its sealed internal battery. The camera plugs into a 5V supply through its Type-C port and connects over Wi-Fi.
The camera pairs with the free PSA Centrii app on iOS and Android for live view, pan and tilt control, and event alerts. It also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The smoke alarm is a standalone unit with no app connection.
The camera uses a 3MP sensor recording 2304 x 1296 at 25 frames per second, rated 2K. Field of view is 105 by 90 by 50 degrees. Motorised pan and tilt covers a full 360 degrees from the app.
The alarm carries a sealed 3VDC CR123A lithium cell rated for 10 years. The battery is non-replaceable, so the complete alarm is swapped out at end of life. A red LED flashes once every 40 seconds to signal low battery.
