The Volt Safety LOCKOUT-KIT-S is a compact lockout tagout kit for electrical isolation work, supplied in a yellow padded bag with multiple compartments. The LOCKOUT-KIT-S carries two padlocks, an aluminium anti-spark hasp, four mini circuit breaker lockouts and a 2 metre cable lockout. Five reusable danger tags, a 1000V slotted screwdriver, a UV resistant marker and cable ties complete the kit. It complies with AS 4836 and AS 4024.1603.
Isolating a switchboard is only half the job. Without a physical lock on the breaker, someone can switch the supply back on while the circuit is still open. The LOCKOUT-KIT-S puts two padlocks, four mini circuit breaker lockouts and five reusable danger tags in one bag, so the isolation point stays locked and labelled for the length of the job. Domestic switchboards and industrial panels are both covered by the same kit.
Sparkies carry a kit like this for the everyday isolation: one board, one circuit, one worker. Everything sits in a yellow padded bag with velcro back straps, so it travels in the ute and lands on site ready to open. The reusable danger tags hold the running cost down across repeat isolations rather than burning through single-use stock. For a working contractor the LOCKOUT-KIT-S covers a basic isolation procedure without hauling a full lockout station to every job.
The LOCKOUT-KIT-S is not a group lockout station. It supplies two padlocks, so a crew locking off one isolation point needs additional padlocks to fill the six hole hasp. The mini circuit breaker lockouts are the small size, made for mini circuit breakers, and the kit carries no valve or plug lockout devices for mechanical or pneumatic isolation.

"Has all you need for basic domestic work." — Marty
"Great Product, essential for the Electrical Trade" — Sue
(LOCKOUT-KIT-S)
The Volt Safety LOCKOUT-KIT-S complies with AS 4836, covering safe working on low-voltage electrical installations, and AS 4024.1603, covering the prevention of unexpected machinery start-up. Both are referenced on the manufacturer datasheet for the kit.
The kit contains a padded bag, five 200mm cable ties, a UV resistant marker, a 1000V 2.5mm slotted screwdriver, five heavy duty reusable danger tags, a 2 metre cable lockout, a 38mm steel shank safety padlock, a 38mm nylon shank dielectric padlock, an aluminium anti-spark hasp and four mini circuit breaker lockouts.
The four circuit breaker lockout devices supplied are the small size, made for mini circuit breakers of the type found in domestic and light commercial switchboards. Larger moulded case circuit breakers and isolators need a lockout device sized for that body.
The aluminium hasp has six holes, so up to six padlocks can be fitted to one isolation point. The kit supplies two padlocks, so a crew of three or more needs additional padlocks of their own to lock off together.
The steel shank padlock is the general purpose lock for switchboard and panel isolation. The nylon shank dielectric padlock is non-conductive, which suits locking off near exposed conductors where a metal shank is not wanted.
The five danger tags supplied are heavy duty and reusable, so they can be written on, cleared and fitted again on the next isolation. The UV resistant marker in the kit keeps the writing legible on outdoor boards and long-running jobs.
