A shed is a working space rather than a hallway inside a house, and the air in it carries dust. Dust and humidity are the conditions PSA specifies fixed temperature detection for, rather than smoke detection alone. The CENBBSS pairs that heat alarm with a photoelectric smoke alarm, so the shed gets two separate detection methods. The Centrii camera adds 2K indoor monitoring of the same space through the PSA Centrii app.
The 240V heat alarm is the only mains item in the CENBBSS bundle. A licensed electrical contractor terminates one point, while the camera runs from a 5V supply and the smoke alarm from its own battery. The 240V heat alarm interconnects with up to 24 compatible 240V alarms, and a licensed electrical contractor runs that interconnect wiring. The low profile smoke alarm supplied in this bundle is a battery unit that operates on its own.
The photoelectric smoke alarm senses smoke particles, which suits general storage areas. The heat alarm senses a fixed 57 deg C temperature instead, which PSA specifies for kitchens, garages, cellars, attics, workshops and other high dust or humidity areas.
The bundle holds one Centrii indoor pan and tilt camera, one LifeSaver low profile photoelectric smoke alarm, and one LifeSaver 240V heat alarm. The camera takes a 5V supply through its Type-C port, and the heat alarm carries a 9V DC replaceable backup battery.
The camera records to a microSD card formatted FAT32 or exFAT, up to 128GB, and cloud storage is available on subscription. Recording runs continuously across 24 hours or on events, including motion alarms, human body alarms and click calls.
