The Sprecher+Schuh CT7N-23-B10 is a bimetallic thermal overload relay with an adjustable setting range of 0.75 to 1.0 amps, rated 690V AC. The CT7N-23-B10 mounts directly to CA7-9 through CA7-23 contactors and carries a Class 10A trip characteristic to IEC/EN 60947-4-1. It supplies one normally open signal contact and one normally closed trip contact, with a selectable manual or automatic reset.

The relay close-couples directly to a CA7-9 through CA7-23 contactor, forming a compact starter without a separate bracket. Main terminals use M4 screws torqued to 1.5 to 2.2 Nm. A DIN-rail or panel mount adapter is available if the relay needs to sit separately from the contactor.
Direct mounting suits CA7-9 through CA7-23 contactors. The CT7N range also works with electronic DC contactors and two-winding DC contactors from the same manufacturer. True DC contactors are not compatible with CT7N bimetallic overload relays.
Class 10A defines how quickly the relay trips at a given overload multiple, with tripping at 120 percent of full load current. Faster Class 10 relays suit modern T-frame motors, which hold less copper and iron than older U-frame designs and tolerate less overload time.
A differential tripping mechanism senses phase loss and accelerates the trip, operating at 115 percent of full load current and clearing in approximately 45 seconds. This feature is not found on traditional eutectic overload blocks, which can allow a single-phasing motor to burn out.
A selectable switch on the relay body sets manual or automatic reset. For enclosed installations, a field-installable external reset button or a remote reset solenoid can be fitted so the trip is cleared from outside the panel door.
