Installation of the HNS416TM must be carried out by a licensed electrical contractor. The timer wires into a 2-wire light circuit using the active and loop, with a 6.5mm wire strip length, and attaches to the back of a Clipsal Saturn style wall plate.
The HNS416TM suits Clipsal Saturn style wall plates. The mechanism mounts to the back of the plate while the existing silver ring and button stay in place, so the finished switch keeps the Saturn appearance.
The 2-wire timer works with incandescent, 240V halogen, compatible LED, compact fluorescent, and electronic transformer loads. It is not suitable for fans, motors, or iron core ballasts. Check Cabac's tested lamp list for LED and CFL models rated for electronic switches.
A short press starts the timer, holding the light on for the programmed 1 to 30 minutes before it switches off. A long press sets an untimed ON with no cut-off. A short tap turns the light off in either mode.
The HNS416TM works with a normally open 240V momentary remote button wired up to 50m away. Multiple buttons can run in parallel within that cable length. The remote can turn the light on or off, but it cannot program the timer.
Cabac warrants the timer against manufacturing and material defects for 12 months from the invoice date. The warranty requires installation by a licensed electrical contractor and operation within the rated specifications. Return-to-base warranty applies through Sparky Direct.
