        Clipsal | 30 Series Switch Mechanism 10A 250V Heat Engraved | White Mechanism Only

        The Clipsal SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE is a 30 Series switch mechanism rated 10 A at 250 V AC, engraved with the word HEAT. The SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE is built on a standard Clipsal 30M-WE mechanism, with the text cut into the white polycarbonate dolly rather than printed on it. It wires as a one-way or two-way switch and carries a loop terminal. The mechanism is supplied on its own, so a grid plate and cover plate are needed to complete the switch.

        A three-in-one unit runs a heat lamp, a fan and a light off three separate gangs, and three plain white rockers look identical on the plate. The SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE carries the word HEAT engraved into the dolly face, so the heat gang reads apart from the rest. The marking is cut into the polycarbonate rather than printed on top of it. Engraving is the only change made to a standard Clipsal 30M-WE mechanism.

        The SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE is supplied as a mechanism, not a complete switch. It fits Classic, 2000 Series and Standard range plates, so an existing switch position can be changed over without touching the plate. In a multi-gang plate it sits in line with plain 30 Series mechanisms, matched on size and finish.

        • Genuine Clipsal base — the engraving is applied in-house to a standard Clipsal 30M-WE 30 Series mechanism, which is otherwise unmodified.
        • 10 A rated current — rated current is 10 A, which is the figure to size the heating load against.
        • 250 V AC rating — rated operational voltage is 250 V AC for single-phase circuits.
        • Single pole switching — switch function is single pole, so the SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE switches one conductor rather than isolating both.
        • One-way or two-way wiring — the mech wires for either one-way or two-way control, so one mechanism covers both configurations.
        • Loop terminal fitted — a loop terminal is built into the mechanism, giving somewhere to land a looped active at the switch position.
        • Rocker actuator — the actuator is a rocker, so the engraved dolly is pressed top or bottom to switch the circuit.
        • Polycarbonate dolly — the visible dolly on the SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE is moulded from polycarbonate, the same material used on the standard 30M-WE.
        • PA66 moulded base — the base of the mechanism is moulded in PA66 nylon.
        • Mechanism only — no grid plate and no cover plate are supplied, so both are ordered separately to complete the switch.

        • Heat lamp circuits — the SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE marks the heat gang on a plate mounted on a dry wall clear of the wet area.
        • Three-in-one unit plates — each mechanism carries one switch, so the engraved unit marks the heat gang beside the fan and light gangs.
        • Resistive heating circuits — rated current is 10 A, so a heating load that sits inside that figure runs off this mechanism.
        • Two-way switch positions — the SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE wires one-way or two-way, so a heat circuit runs off two switch positions.
        • Existing plate retrofits — the mech fits Clipsal Classic, 2000 Series and Standard range plates, so an installed plate can be kept.

        The SD-HEAT-TEXT-30M-WE is single pole, so it switches one conductor and is not a double-pole isolating switch. It mounts flush on a dry wall clear of the wet area, and is not rated for weather exposure or damp locations. The in-house engraving can differ in colour and size from factory-marked 30 Series mechanisms, so mixing the two on one plate is not recommended.
