The Rinnai HSNRTX50 is a reverse cycle inverter split system rated 5.0 kW cooling and 5.5 kW heating. The HSNRTX50 pairs the HINRTX50 indoor head, finished in matte white, with the HONRTX50 outdoor unit, charged with R32 refrigerant. Capacity figures follow AS/NZS 3823.2 testing, and the indoor unit carries built-in Wi-Fi.
The HSNRTX50 covers 23 to 33 square metres under a 2.6 metre insulated ceiling, which is a mid-sized living room. Inverter control holds the setpoint by varying compressor speed instead of cycling hard on and off. Dehumidifying mode pulls up to 2.5 litres an hour out of the room on humid summer running.
The HONRTX50 comes pre-charged for 15 metres of pipe, supports a total run of 30 metres with refrigerant added beyond that, and allows 20 metres of vertical separation. Pair coil runs 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch, which is 6.35 mm on the liquid line and 12.70 mm on the gas line. Maximum input power is 3400 W with a 15.5 A current draw across cooling and heating. GoldGuard coil coating on the outdoor unit adds corrosion protection for coastal and harsh sites.
