Rinnai | TX Series Inverter Split System Air Conditioner 9.0kW | R32 Reverse Cycle
The Rinnai HSNRTX90 is a reverse cycle inverter split system air conditioner rated at 9.0 kW cooling and 9.5 kW heating. It pairs the HINRTX90 indoor head, finished in matte white, with the HONRTX90 outdoor unit. The HSNRTX90 runs on R32 refrigerant with built-in Wi-Fi and voice control. Capacities are tested to AS/NZS 3823.2 with a 5 metre interconnecting pipe run.
The HSNRTX90 is rated for 36 to 53 square metres under a 2.6 metre insulated ceiling, suiting open-plan living and large family rooms. Inverter control modulates cooling output between 3.22 and 9.38 kW, holding temperature rather than cycling between full output and off. It carries a 4.0-star cooling rating across all three zoned energy bands. Dehumidifying removes up to 3.2 litres per hour.
The HSNRTX90 is pre-charged for 15 metres of pipe, with a maximum total run of 50 metres and 25 metres vertical separation. Pair coil is 3/8 inch and 5/8 inch (9.52 mm liquid and 15.90 mm gas). Beyond 15 metres, add 24 grams of refrigerant per metre. Maximum input is 4100 W at 18.0 A, on a single-phase 220 to 240 V supply with a 25 A recommended circuit breaker.

- Indoor unit — 450 x 1340 x 383 mm boxed, 24.7 kg gross and 19.0 kg bare.
- Outdoor unit — 965 x 1090 x 500 mm boxed, 64.6 kg gross and 60.3 kg bare.
The longest carton is 1340 mm, and the two boxes together weigh 89.3 kg. The outdoor carton alone is 64.6 kg, so plan on two people to load it. Check that the vehicle or trailer can take both cartons before collecting. The outdoor unit must stay upright in transit and cannot be laid on its side.

The HSNRTX90 is not rated below -15 degrees C outdoor ambient, and heating is rated to a 24 degrees C outdoor ceiling. At 36 to 53 square metres, it is too small for a single bedroom or a whole-house load. A licensed installer must carry out the installation.
